    Hi everyone! Thanks again. I've not been into the garden today but I've not noticed a strong scent. I'll check that and take some more measurements tomorrow but your suggestions about lilioasphodelus and juniper definitely seem to be spot on.

    Welcome to the forums.
    Next time may I suggest you start a fresh thread for your queries.
    It looks like Prostranthera cuneata...australian mint bush.
    Try crushing a leaf..... is it very scented...of mint?

    Hello!
    The lilies are 70 cm tall and the flowers approx. 6 cm across. The leaves are approx 50 cm long x 8 mm wide. They do have quite a strong fragrance to me.
    The fir is bigger than I thought - approx 110 cm x 80 cm x 40 cm tall.
