Is my geum dead

Geum Lady Strathdene.  Bought it from garden centre and it was lovely last year.  Beginning of June and it is still a bunch of brown sticks.  I had a couple of green shoots but seem to have died off too.  Is it worth giving it some liquid feed or has it died.

Sounds dead. They should be growing well by this time of year.

Apart from bl**dy Geum urbanum, I find geums pretty unreliable as far as perennials go.  Having said that, I still have one 'Blazing sunset' which I grew from seed and has come back every year for about 10 years.  The rest of them in the same bed 'faded away' within 2-3 years.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

I have the same problem here @BobTheGardener
They can be very short lived.
