Afternoon all - much cooler today and rather breezy. But guess what? Still no rain - just clouds... Clothes out on the line - will be dry very soon in the wind.

Chimney sweep has been and that’s about the sum total of my exciting news for today.

Really missing my ‘big’ computer. Keep coming and sitting at the desk ready to look something up before I remember. New one won’t be here for another week because of upgrades. Managed to rig up the iPad so I can use the keyboard and mouse with it and can print stuff off if needs be - but it’s not the same as my big boy.

On which note - a little something to make you smile...

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

A lovely orchid there T'Bird. Appropriately named. Sounds like your 'big boy' (and I'm taking about the computer here!) will do the job. Thats reminded me. I need to look at that Indian Meals site. The rain stopped for a while so I've got my sunflowers planted into the garden and watered in. The soil was still like dust. I've weeded my salad bowl - 3 cut and come again lettuces and 50 nettles - and I've sowed some more lettuces. Found one lily beetle. Collected up a muck bucket full of dead camellia flowers and still they fall!

    Afternoon everyone,
Rosie sorry I missed you earlier I’m not refreshing enough, it does feel more Autumnal today quite a change in temperature,
Tbird 😂 That would be rather a feature plant in the garden! Hope you get your big computer back soon, very useful technology hard to be without it,
LB Ah ok thank you I understand the 23 reference now, nice to see Col TT carrying out an essential journey 😉
Rubee I'm keeping well thank you, there’s not much satisfaction in doing those particular indoor jobs is there the moment is short lived,
Lily I would be hitting the snooze hour now after your early start today, hope you’ve had an easy day,

I want one to plant in my front garden. It would cause a few raised eyebrows around here.  Mind you I would be the talk of the street so perhaps not.

It will seem very strange not clapping for carers tonight but with the change in the weather, perhaps it is just as well.
