Planting for Recent Garden Renovation

Late last year I put in some large raised beds, and whilst I think that the planting looks good, I think it could be better (I've spent a good portion of lockdown bingeing on Love Your Garden and Garden Rescue). On the right hand side I put lots of different varieties of crocsimias, some hesperanthas, some panicums with a couple of heucheras and a greengage tree. It's all very vertical.

On the left hand side, there's all sorts of different plants and the variety of textures and foliage, definitely looks better.

As the soil has settled, I shall be lifting all the plants next spring (except the trees) so I can top up the topsoil. When I do this, I would like to rearrange the existing planting, and add some more. Some of the existing planting I want to put into planters to soften the inside edges and make the path look more winding. I also want it to have a more woodland feel which won't be the easiest since my garden is south facing. The colour scheme is copper so flowerwise, browns, reds, oranges, yellows and creams and I'd like to obscure as much of the fences as possible. One absolute no no is ivy. There's a bit of unused land behind our back fence which has a large quantity of ivy and it's nothing but trouble. I couldn't tell you what the soil PH is, I just filled the beds with topsoil and multipurpose compost from Wickes.

I realise the parameters are a bit limited, but any planting suggestions for a woodland style south facing garden with a copper colour scheme would be gratefully received.
