What is this plant? Friend or foe?

I don't know what this plant is that is popping up everywhere. I can't identify it clearly in the books I have bought.

Bitter cress. Can be eaten and tastes rather like rocket. It is a weed and does seed around a lot. If it gets flowers it develops pods that pop open flinging seeds out everywhere if touched.

Hairy Bittercress (Cardamine hirsuta) an extremely fast maturing weed (from seed to seeding itself in 5 weeks!)

Thank you. Do I just pull it out? Or is there a specific way to control it?

Just pull them out - they hardly have any roots.  Unfortunately, when they do seed, the seed pods 'explode' and scatter seeds far and wide, so try and not let any get to that stage:
