Cordaline flowering what should I do

My cordaline is flowering which is never done before and now the leaves at the bottom are all turning brown what should I do?

    It's what they do.
    Just remove the old foliage.  All part of their growing process :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
