Which rose is this?

RhodoNRhodoN Posts: 13
While clearing a new part of my garden I came across this rose (rambler?) growing through the thickets. At this moment it’s in bloom. Any idea which rose/variety it is? This part of the garden originates somewhere after 1950 and was largely planted with native species to support the environment. This may well be a cultivated variety, planted by the former owner. Thanks

It really needs an expert in specie roses [and that is not me].. to tell the difference with some of these white flowering ramblers like that... but it has a Rosa multiflora look about it ..  if you can show a close up of the stipules it would help... I've tried to enlarge on my phone camera and I think they are fringed, but I'm not convinced...  they need to be fringed... and it looks as though the rose is very low thorn, combined with the foliage and small flowers... says Multiflora...

Hey Marlorena and thanks for your comment. I’ll take better photos and will upload them soon. You’re right about this rose being very low thorn. To be continued!
