Strange thing happening to hydrangea heads

Noticed today that one of my potted hydrangeas has two heads of flowers which are wilting. The others are all fine, checked soil and it’s damp but not wet (it’s in a wooden trough with easy drainage so does not get wet feet!). Anyone got any ideas why this is happening, and is it likely to spread to the rest of the plant?

Are they in sunshine? Sometimes the sun is drawing the moisture up and out of the plants so fast that the roots can’t keep up with taking in water.
I would move them into the shade.
