So far I've taken some variegated Euonymus, Clematis alpina "Willy", a shrubby salvia "Deep Purple" (it's the only one that didn't take last year so I'm determined to keep trying), Polygonum "Red Dragon" and a variegated ficus house plant . The ficus is a bit of a risk - it would be better air-layered but I couldn't be bothered and it had got too big for its space. It might be taken to work when I go back because I'm fairly sure most of my plants there will have died (except the sanseveria).

Not this month, but about ten days agoi took about a dozen heeled cuttings of Erysimum ‘Apricot Twist’.
Looking good so far
Last weekend these were ready to pot up singly ... look what lovely roots they’ve developed
Every cutting took 👍 There were eleven not twelve ... it seems I can’t count 🙄 Now they’re in individual pots in the cold frame and I’ve pinched the growing tips out so they grow nice and stocky
With luck and a fair wind we’ll have eleven new plants to plant out in the autumn giving us gorgeously scented flowers to brighten next spring. 😊

As members might be able to tell from my ID request threads, i have taken several random unidentified cuttings and will be asking for help next year😕 However, at the moment, I know I have taken a number of salvias ( I'm sure I'll remember what they are next year 😟)and one erysmum BM I'm going to do for an overgrown and leaning rosemary so I will be taking cuttings. Ditto an overgrown fuchsia. The one with slender pink blooms . It's huge but full of flowers so I'll bide my time. When my penstemon s identify themselves, will be taking cuttings too and some gaura.
So far I have taken cuttings from two currant bushes, one red and one black. I have also taken cuttings from a Lacecap Hydrangea, sambucca nigra and one of my neighbour’s roses which is beautiful (with his permission). I really keep my fingers crossed for the rose cutting. One of the currant cuttings is doing really well, the other has been stripped bare of its leaves by some insect. The only plant I have successfully grown from a cutting before is the hydrangea, but as that turned out well I thought I give some other varieties a go.
Sorry to ask, but how do you take cuttings of salvias? Is it simply a case of cut stem, stick in rooting agent and then stick in pot and cover with bag? I've really not been successful in any of my cuttings.
@dappledshade I've only ever taken Amistad cuttings in the Autumn, and planted them out in the Spring. If you take cuttings now, when do they get planted up outside? This Autumn, or next Spring?

I have taken cuttings from winter honeysuckle and daphne. Fingers crossed i will have atleast one or two rooted. Also lots of salvias.
Any idea if sarcococca can grow from cutting?
@Katsa I find salvias strike readily from heel cuttings.
