I think you've been starving them of water @Shoxt3r. They do need quite a bit of moisture. The presence of a lot of ants suggests that too.
Woodlice are also attracted to damaged or dead food supplies. It's what they do  :)
I don't know what size your raised bed is, but they dry out more quickly anyway, and watering is vital in these dry conditions that much of the country is experiencing.
Your strawberries should be cropping well by now if they're getting enough food and water. Tomato food or even that slow release granular food is ideal.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Thanks for the tips!
It's strange because I water them daily and give them a good soak but still haven't seen anything significant growing, or by the time it gets anywhere close to ripening, they get eaten. I'm also giving a general purpose Miracle Gro liquid feed once a week.

The plants themselves are growing much bigger than they ever have done this year - before it was taking them weeks and weeks to really get going.

The setup I've got is an approximate 1.8m by 0.5m raised bed, lined with plastic sheeting and I've had a cloche over the bed since the strawberries started growing back again way back in February/March. The strawberries are growing in one half of the bed, while there are two neighbouring tomato plants (hence keeping the cloche on for now) in a separate "plot"
