looking for aonium propagation advice

hi folks, anyone know if i cut the head of this aonium tabuliforme if it will put out side rosettes.as it has started to flower now which means it will die after flowering,it is about a foot across but has not put out off sets,i have tried lots of basil leaf cuttings without success anyone else with propagation  experience of this particular type of aonium , I dont know why this variety  will not take from cuttings,when other aoniums propagate very easily
