For Helleborus x hybridus .
1.Now cut all old flowering stems off...right back to the base.
If very dry keep watered.
2. In spring before the flowers open remove all old leaves.
That way you see the beautiful flowers and old leaves don't cause disease.
Enjoy.
Species Helleborus are best just dead headed now.
Perthshire. SCOTLAND .

Just cut off the flower heads at this time of year. Give them a feed and don't let them dry out too much over summer. In Spring, you can cut off all the old leaves to show the flowers to their best advantage.
