What's eating my cabbages

Can anyone suggest what pesky critter has had all the leaves off my cabbages? We get a lot of pigeons in the garden,  but they don't usually take the whole leaves off like this. Could it be rabbits? Our garden does back onto a school playing field,  though never been bothered by them before.

Vole?  Mine has been busy clipping off my grape vine new growth from the bottom, and it looks like that.

Blue could well be right, voles quite often clip off leaves and then take them away, my voles seem to content themselves with eating my parsnips and carrots from the bottom up :(

Thanks, both. The area behind my fence is the school's "wild area", aka the bit they have no money to sort out, so who knows what is living in it!

I have made some chicken wire cloches to try and keep the little blighters off for now.
