Rose's powdery mildew

What's the best method to get rid of this and is there any home remedies to spray on instead of fungicide?

You could try using Neem Oil, l believe that can be effective.
  • And even better, improve the watering regime, most of the time it's in reaction to lack of water

    Annie what's been oil?
amancalledgeorge yes I did read it was too humid on the leaves and too dry at the root so I did start watering it quite alot more! Do you k now if it spread to other plants and whether if just watering it would make it go away? 🙂

I put AnniD but bloody autocorrect!
  • Neem Oil is used by the beauty industry and it also acts as a natural insecticidal...easy enough to get a small bottle from eBay, they cost about £5 and only need a few drops in a spray bottle alongside a squeeze of washing up liquid. Powdery mildew can spread a bit if the conditions are right, but it's worth looking at the overall cultivation conditions to prevent it from happing in the future. But glad you didn't just reach for a bottle of Rose Clear @Hanyhair there's no point curing the symptoms when you can sort out the cause.

@amancalledgeorge Thanks for the advice will get a bottle of neem and keep watering a bit more just to see whether it does clear up, no I didn't want to go and get something and bugger up my rose bush or burn it! As I had read that some fungicides and solutions for powdery mildew burnt the Rose's and leaves and I definitely didn't want to do that! Thanks so much for that little nugget of wisdom! 😁
