Victoria Plum - Spots on Fruit

Good afternoon,

I have lots of black spots on my Victoria plums, last year the fruit was mainly spoilt.

Can anyone suggest a cure/help to a novice?

Insects, the most likely being Plum moth. Here is advice from elswhere on this site:

Yes we had this last year on one of the plum trees. Couldn't eat the plums as they were so badly damaged but I did make some lovely plum wine from them.
