How often to water bulbs?
Hi all, I'm brand new to gardening and have tried my hand for the first time at planting bulbs in pots. The one thing I can't seem to find the answer to anywhere is how often to water the bulbs before they sprout? I have read about not overwatering as the bulbs can rot, but I have no idea of how much is overwatering?
The bulbs I've planted are calla lilies, ranunculus, and begonia. I've also planted some runner bean seeds. I understand they will all take a few weeks to germinate but how often do I need to water the pots before then? They are outside in pretty much full sun.
I also understand that once they have sprouted they will need more frequent waterings, but again, I'm not too sure how often is "frequent"?
Any help would be appreciated!

Don't think your seeds will germinate either.
If the compost is bone dry I would water, just stick in a finger to check. Water by standing the pots in a tray or bowl of water and remove when top is damp, that way you won't wash the seeds out.
Place somewhere sheltered but not in full sun or rig up some shade if you have nowhere to move them to.
Once they are growing then you can move the pots to the right location for the plant.
