Spotted laurel leaves turning black

I've noticed the past few weeks some of the leaves on my laurel are turning black. Any ideas why this happens? I pick them off and the rest are fine. Could it be the sun? It's been pretty warm in scotland. I need to keep it in a pot as I dont have anywhere to plant it. My whole garden gets a bit of sun at some point, should I move it to the least sunny spot?

    Thanks for the replies, to think that the sun in Scotland could do that kind of damage! I've moved it to the least sunny spot in the garden so hopefully that does the trick😁
