Japanese anemones - too late to divide?

Good morning
I have had a lovely couple of hours gardening - I noticed my clump of Japanese anemones could do with dividing in half. Is it too late in the year?
Thanks

Hi @AlxNic - you can certainly divide them, but they'll take a while to settle again, and probably won't flower this year.  :)

Thanks for that information,  Fairygirl - it's helpful as it may influence me to leave it until autumn or next spring

If you leave them - do them in spring when they want to grow. By the time they finish, it's a bit late, and they can go downhill, in my experience.  :)
