Can anyone help in identifying this plant please?

I have attached a photo of a plant found in a pot in my garden that I don't remember planting, can anyone identify it please? :)

    Have you got a bird feeder nearby? It looks like wheat to me.

    Not wheat with those awns ... either barley or rye. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
