North facing garden spot under a bay window.

Hi all, hope you are enjoying the sun.😁. Looking for some suggestions on what colourful flowering plants I can plant under the bay  window.

It’s such a dry spot only the self seeders seem to grown here.

Would love some green and coloured leafy wonders here.

Any suggestions gratefully received x

It's a very small patch so I would keep it simple and go for foliage form and colour rather than bright flowers.  I would suggest you remove everything your don't want then improve the soil with a couple of bags of well-rotted horse manure spread over the surface and loosely forked in.

A big, large leaved hosta such as Sum and Substance (golden foliage) in the corner and the rest filled with heucheras which have curiously coloured foliage and spires of white or coral coloured flowers.   geranium macrorhizum has scented foliage which turns red n autumn and stays thru mild winters then in spring it has flowers in palest pink to a strong mauve, depending on variety.   Ferns such as dryopteris would like it there and be a good alternative or addition to the hosta.   Japanese anemones would also give height and late summer flowers in white or pink.
