Any ideas what these spots might be you lovely people.

Its quite a medium sized cactus in a south facing conservatory window.

I love this creature and would love it to look more beautiful x

Does it scrape off with your finger nail or an old toothbrush? Like a fungus or scale insect? Or is it indented hard spots? Like chewed on by a slug or snail?
