I plant stuff then forget about it, am surprised when it comes up and usually assume it is a weed but if it is it is very nice.  It is about 60cm tall with a similar spread.  Any guesses?  Thanks  Bob

Thanks for that - not one that I have ordered - "to my knowledge".  Probably one that I will keep and move in the autumn.  Thanks again.

It is a vipers bugloss - wonderful plant for bees and will flower for many weeks. Sorry BM - our posts crossed!

I have checked it against a number of images on line that you directed me to and I am confident that it is Vipers bugloss.  Thanks for the help from everyone.
