Holly Bush Leaves

Hi. Does anyone know what is causing the leaves on my Holly go like this. They are starting to drop off now. Thanks in advance.

Is it just a small portion on your shrub? I suspect it is just some older leaves coming to the end of their lives, and about to drop off. Many evergreen shrubs go through that cycle. So long as new leaves form, and are look healthy, I think nothing to worry about.

I think they are just old leaves the bush wants to get rid of. Even evergreens lose old leaves, usually in April/May.

  • There are loads n loads falling off.  Here's a fuller pic of the bush. I've been having a bit of a Google and I was thinking fungus - hopefully you can zoom in?

I don't think there's anything to worry about there. It's only a few leaves  :)

Pretty normal for Hollies to  shed foliage in summer. I'd not worry.

Perfectly normal ... take a walk in a wood where there are hollies ... the leaf litter is full of them ... if like me you habitually wander bare foot in a garden containing hollies you’ll know 🤣
