Clematis problems

Hi all,

Can anyone offer a bit of advice as to why we are seeing the yellowing and what looks like dying of our clematis? Pictures attached that you can zoom in on to see the issue(s). The stems appear to have a powdery mildew or something, the leaves in the centre are yellowing and we can't work out what's going on. Would a clamatis feed help it? I've tried applying a fungal treatment that has definitely reduced the powdery mildew on the stems and on most of the leaves. Despite our best effort it's starting to really look sickly.

Thanks

Try giving it lots and lots of water - slowly tip a couple of bucketfuls over the root area at least twice a week.  It looks thirsty and powdery mildew is often a sign of water stress.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Thanks @BobTheGardener I'll go and give it a good water now and again in a few days and see how we get on.
