Dying camellia
We have a camellia which is approx. 30 years old, about 10ft high. It has always flowered well and it did this year too but now it seems to be dying, a lot of leaves are yellowing and dropping off. Also they are browning. We did have a couple of other plants next to it that have died this year, a weigela and Pieris. Next door's crab apple which was within about 8 feet of the camellia also died last year. A tree surgeon looked at the apple and told me he didn't think it was honey fungus but couldn't identify it. Has anyone got any ideas of what I could try?

Many shrubs are suffering from severe drought, and it may simply be that, especially if there's a lot of planting. However, well established shrubs can get their roots further down to access moisture, so there may be another reason. If those other plants nearby weren't well established to start with, that could be why they haven't thrived too.
It's perfectly normal for evergreens to drop leaves anyway, but they will shed more when under stress.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
