Mushroom popping up in my flower pot

So I’ve found these mushrooms that appear in my pot that contains a rose. I’ve since removed them but today I saw more popping up.. they do look sort of cute but I’m not sure if they would do any harm to my plants and in fact are they edible..? I assume some spores somehow managed to get into my potting mix.if they’re going to keep appearing then maybe I should make the most of the situation ?

    What ever you do do not eat them unless you are an expert in fungi.
    Fungi often appear in pots with the compost containing broken down materials.
    You can just keep removing the fruiting bodies but don't eat them.

    @bertrand-mabel Yup thank you for the reminder.. I’m aware of that too. I actually forgot to attach a picture of said mushrooms but I’ve updated my original post now..

    From your photo I can see why you felt that you could eat them.
    Maybe the compost was mixed with mushroom compost.

    Very common to have little toadstools popping up in compost - nothing to worry about, but please never eat them @celcius_kkw !
    We don't want you having an episode of some kind  ;)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Haha.. thank you both. They have been duly binned.. there I was thinking I could have had my dinner sorted.. 🤣
