Best type of soil for planting grass seed...?

Hi everyone,
Recently pulled up a flagged garden with a view to seeding a lawn. All builder waste has been removed and we are fortunate to have a great base layer ready to have the top soil layer put on top and seeded.
Now we are at that stage, I have set about looking at buying the right soil. There are a lot more options than i envisaged, so i was hoping for independent advice on what type to buy and get the best result.
