Pet friendly artificial lawn i.e. avoid urine smell!

I've had artificial lawn down for 4 years and it has basically smelt of odour since day one when the sun started to shine! I wash everyday with specific pet urine deodorisers but nothing works. The company that sold me the lawn were informed that we had dogs and recommended a brand "that had extra holes for drainage", they are now denying saying it! Would you expect a company to advise you on a suitable lawn when they are aware you have dogs? Should I have known to ask this when the company were aware that the reason we wanted lawn was due to the dogs??

Even with drainage holes it would run underneath and you'd get the smell

No artificial grass here but lots of real grass and wildflower areas and a veggie plot and gravel.   2 dogs and 2 cats.   No smells.

Whilst I’m no fan of artificial grass I do understand your dilemma.

When I kept a herd of dairy goats on the smallholding I found that lemon scented disinfectants did a pretty good job of getting rid of the musky smell of billy goat urine at mating time.
    It’s worth a try. 🍋

    Good luck 👍

I have artificial grass from top dogs. They also sell a product called zeostop which you brush into the grass and also underneath when you lay the grass. Obviously you can't do that but you could add on top. It comes in 25kg bags if I remember and whilst it's not cheap I can say it definitely works as we dont have any smell from our lawn even on the hottest days and a runny poopy dog, 🤢sorry.
They also sell a cleaner but I have some but never needed to use it.
Oh and just ignore the real grass is best comments, it's your garden so whatever suits you.
