ideas please

I want a patio rose, disease-resistant, repeat flowering with pink flowers to go in a tall pot in full sun. I bought "Munstead" because they were recommended for container growing but they are far too leggy and the stems fall all over the place and constantly need strapping up, whereas the Munstead grown in the garden is perfectly sturdy. Any ideas really appreciated.

I thought maybe "Queen Mother" might fit the bill, have a look here

  • The 'County' series of roses should work in a container. 'County of Hampshire' is a bright pink but there are others. I've got Pococks Roses rose of the year 2008 called 'Sweet Haze" but I cannot say this is a small rose, despite the claims. It gets chopped back to 40cm and turns into a monster over summer - 4-5ft high and at least 5-6ft wide.

The Fairy Rose is very disease resistant and free flowering all the way to December against small glossy leaves. Flowers start a little later than most roses, but very suitable for container growing.
