A couple questions if I may...

I'm still very new to gardening. I've pottered around my "yarden" for the last few years but so far have kept it quite simple. I find googling for answers often leads to much confusion.

I have a few Dianthus dotted about the yard. The red one has flowered non-stop since I planted it last summer (pic); the pink one (pic)...well it's not flowered since last Autumn but it's grown so tall. They've both spread and quadrupled but the pink one looks like it's reaching for the moon.

1. Should I have cut it back last year? (I did nothing to either of them)

We also have a potted Wisteria (pics). I know most places say not to grown them in pots but my OH, who doesn't do gardening, wanted one so we bought it last summer whilst in flower.

It's grown a lot. The pot is not massive.

2. When should I repot it? (We have no ground to put it in)

Thanks in advance. I'm learning so much from you all.

If you allow it to attach itself to that arch you will never be able to repot it!
I don't have one (yet), but I know they become massive, heavy plants unless properly pruned.
I would like one, but want to train it as a standard and I think that would be the best solution for you too :)

The dianthus are fine, so no need to worry  :)
As long as they have a bit of food and good drainage, they'll thrive. If they're happy, they'll flower well, so you're doing fine with them.
The pink one might be needing a slightly brighter spot - which is why it looks as if it's 'leaning' a bit. It's just trying to get more light. Nothing much to worry about though.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
