next year, after your seeds germinate, when potting on the baby seedlings, cover the stem up to the seed leaves.......too late now with those.....

Cosmos can be pinched out too, which prevents them getting too leggy.
It's also exaggerated if they're sown too early.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I was going to do that with my squash seedling but read that the stem would rot.
Can you bury the stem in most seedlings?

when do you pinch out, when the plant has 2 true leaves?

I don't grow veg so can't advise you on that........I cover all flower seedlings stems up to seed leaves when doing the first pot on......
