Sweet pea seeds

I was late putting in my sweet pea seeds, I’ve only done today. Does anyone have any experience of late planting or I in for disappointment.

    Did you soak them first? They'll germinate faster if so. You should be ok, depending on conditions!

    Thanks no I didn’t but we live on the Isle of Wight so weather warm here so I’m hoping that will help.

    You may still have sweet pea flowers at Christmas ......

    Nothing to lose. Soaking them doesn't really have any great benefit. I've often experimented in the past, and it's never made a difference. Good quality seed is far more beneficial.
