Shady Climber?

Could anybody please recommend a climber for our back fence which only gets the sun in the late afternoon?  We would like something with white flowers, maybe a rose or clematis?  We would like it to be long flowering and ideally evergreen.  Any help much appreciated, thank you

    Adelaide D’Orleans (David Austin rambling rose). Fine in shade, absolutely packed with flowers, gorgeous, subtle scent and tough as nails. A bit expensive (probably £25+) but you can take multiple cuttings from it each year and it will never let you down. Got one myself.

    Plenty of clematis will suit. Very few are evergreen though, especially for shadier sites.

    Take a look on the specialist sites - Taylor's Clematis, Thornfcroft and Hawthornes for loads of suggestions.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Thank you both so much, good advice.  Will definitely order an Adelaide D'Orleans and will check out clematis for the other side of the garden, thank you, I was getting fed up of googling, wonderful to make a decision!

    we have Rosa "Wedding day" but you could try Star jasmine, as long as you get some sun :)

    Depends where the OP lives. Those jasmines aren't reliably hardy everywhere I'm afraid.
