Can anyone advise on my ailing Amelanchier?

Hello everyone. My multi stem Amelanchier lamarckii isn’t happy. It flowered well this spring and now has a multitude of red berries. But branches are sagging significantly on the left (and it isn’t the pigeons sat on them to pluck the berries - yet) and many of the leaves on those branches are now prematurely turning autumnal red and falling.

The tree was planted in 2016. A mini “grove” of five Hakonechloa macra were also planted around it (not close) and all have lived in harmony until now. The only difference this year is that one of the Haks, on the side where the tree’s problems are most obvious, has gotten huge this year as per the pics.

Any clues as to what is going on and what I can do? Could it be simple underwatering amid the recent very hot spell? I think it’s too late this year to lift and divide the Hakonechloa. I can see that it would help to remove one or two of the tree stems on the left that are pressing on to each other as they sag. Is that a bad idea right now?

Any suggestions gratefully received - this tree anchors my tiny garden!

Cheers and happy gardening, Johnny

Happy this spring

The problem left hand side now, sagging with many dying leaves

The Hakonechloa, big one on the left. They aren’t planted as close to the tree as it looks!

I think it's short on water and is losing in the competition with the other plants, as you suggest.  The two walls will aslo be sucking up water from that corner.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

Thanks Bob, I’ll try increasing the watering and divide to reduce the Hakonechloas this autumn.
