confused, so many irises, different types

I have these rhizomatous blue irises flowering beautifully (light blue bottom pic) and I'm rather proud of them with passers by having a good look. I planted them in late spring 2 years ago, so they got a good baking in the summer of 2018, and this is the first year they have flowered. I also have in the past planted iris bulbs and was also given some which seem to be a fibrous clump (which only flower some years).

I  would like to arrange for a number of irises coming out staggered over spring summer.

I found the possibilities a bit overwhelming ,I think I'm asking what is the difference between the 3 types; which are easier to care for as it seems the rhizomatous need rather more care; and when do they flower? I prefer the yellow and the lighter blues as the darks seem to get a bit lost

there seem to be more ways to deal with the rhizomatous ones although I think the Doddington Hall method seems the less trouble and i am inclined to their method as I used to live not far away in Skellingthorpe when young. We used to visit the bluebell and primrose woods in Doddington one of my favourite memories
The first 2 are bulbs I planted and the last the rhizomatous one
