That's the one! My brain hasn't recovered from Popmaster yet @Dovefromabove ;)

The flower belongs to a Peony though. The narrow foliage behind the flower belongs to it.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

That’s what’s bad me so confused that flower lol! I’ll get myself up there to find where it’s coming from. I’m a total amateur as you can tell!
So none of my bergenias have flowered then. 🤔

They flower in early spring ... you may have missed them ... or the bed may need rejuvenating ... info here https://www.ehow.co.uk/how_7559193_bergenia-wont-bloom-anymore.html

Definitely needs some thinning out and TLC. Noticed some dead heads, definitely no flowers this year. I walk past it daily. Poor things need some love.

Dig them up ... divide ... replenish the soil ... replant ... they’ll reward you for it.

I bet you’ll find lots of snails too ... they love hiding amongst bergenias under the leaves.  What you do with them is up to you ... 🤔

Thank you. I’ll keep a few but there’s sooooo many there. I’ll be on the local FB group for the village and ask for new homes for a few.

I’ve tidied them up and they are a lot happier for it. Appears one plant has gone crazy and has gone all over. I’ve split later in the year and offer to others in the village to collect that day. The garden has gone rather feral! Just need to decide what to keep. My other half wants be to blitz and start again, but he’s getting a firm no on that!
