broken lupin heads

hi i just purchased my first lupin plant yesterday and with the high winds last night the lupin heads have snapped in half should i cut the heads off completely

    I have the same problem and I’m following so I could see what the experts say.. mine looked like this at the end of the gale.. 



    And they used to look this lush..



    My heart aches just looking at them now.. 😭

    Just cut the damaged flowers off. It'll produce some more,although they may be smaller.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    sorry im new to lupins so im not sure were to cut them just the head or the whole stem

    Just cut back to the next joint - where there are leaves.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    @Fairygirl May I clarify I should cut right down to the base where the damaged leaf stem originated from? Some of my leaves are droopy but appears potentially viable.. I was planning on giving them the benefit of the doubt and hope for some degree of recovery.

    Up to you really. If stems are still intact, you can leave them.

    Ok.. I will just trim the bad ones and give the bruised lot a chance. :) thank you @Fairygirl

    Just keep an eye on them, and if they die back - trim them off   :)
