Hello. I live in Cardiff ,and my garden is quite sheltered and has sun and shade spots. Could you please advise on care and watering regimes for my Aeoniums please. Many thanks.
We have only been keeping them for a year, so no experts. Although we place them in full sun, but move them to a shadier location on her hot days, as blazing sun can scorch them. Total shade is best avoided.
We have ours in pots, so when it's very hot, I water them every other day, but only a small amount of water. I include some liquid feed every few weeks. I put them in our unheated greenhouse over Winter, and reduce the watering to a small amount about once a month (although Winter is when they do most of their growing).
Do you plan to put them in pots or in the ground? They are very easy to propagate, have your tried this yet?
Many thanks Keenongreen and Phillips smith2 for your help and advice on Aeoniums,I have them in pots and have a greenhouse and conservatory to over winter them. Many thanks.
