If I were you I’d have a look here for replacements

They are suitable for growing in patio pots and some are described as being good on a northfacing wall.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

There are definitely some clematis that can be happy in pots, but this isn’t one!
You’ll also need a deeper pot, about 50cm deep.

That's.... disappointing. Certainly looks like there's no difference of opinion between any of you!
Now just need to find an evergreen one that likes pots
