Can you please help identify these?

Hello, hope someone can please help. I took down a whole overgrown mass of Russian vine that had broken a fence in gales. I hard pruned everything back to the ground and was left with two almighty woody stumps in the ground (apparently a neighbour told me a clematis grew there at some time). I cannot dig the roots out so am going to have to resort to good old weed killer to get rid of the Russian vine, but keep the clematis.

Shoots have started to come up and i want to check which is which! I’m pretty sure the larger red stemmed one is clematis - does this look right? Can anyone tell me what the plant is in the last picture please? (The close up is also of this plant). Thanks in advance:)

    Middle photo looks like a clematis to me.

    The middle pic is a clematis - and it looks well  :)
    I think the other one is elder. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    There are several shoots erupting out it daily! Was worried it was Russian vine, but good to know it’s not. It’s just next to a fence currently with some wire to train it - do you think a trellis is needed to support it? Worried it will overwhelm as no idea how to care for it - will start researching :)
