Weather Dry, wind, and frost, if you've had any, on new growth. Watch it hasn't got dehydrated too. There's been a lot of hot dry weather, and wind is drying too. If you can, keep it in a semi shaded spot, especially out of middle of the day sun. You aren't alone - I've lost count of the number of queries with exactly the same problem
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

None of those and next to 2 others that are perfect 😥😥
I've got an acer bloodgood which is probably 10 years old or more now, it's planted in full sun & gets gets the full force of the wind when it's windy & it's thriving. When i first got it, it was only a twig so for the first 3 or 4 winters i pampered it by making a frame round it with 4 broom handles & some fleece. when i finally left it uncovered the odd branch got frost bitten on the ends but i just left that. It's now about 6ft x 6ft so the pampering paid off.
You'd be surprised how close together plants can be, yet one can be fine and another can be more affected by general conditions. Different varieties can be affected differently too, and even two examples of the same shrub/tree can grow and respond in a different manner. That applies to all plants.
@rambo - once established, and more mature, they can shrug off climactic conditions more readily, as you've discovered
