Rocket seeds from China are these 'arugula' rocket or a bit dodgy? bought on Amazon

    All you can tell from looking at those seeds is that they are likely a brassica of some kind.  Impossible to say more until you grow them.  For all you know, they could be rapeseed.

  • thanks, the ones I've seen online are mostly lighter in colour

    If it wasn't from a legitimate outlet, like a specialist veg grower, and was just from a random person, it could be anything. There are all sorts of bogus seeds imported from China unfortunately. 
    As @BobTheGardener says - the only way to find out is to sow them.
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
