Flowers may look the same but the leaves of Iceland poppy are very different.

Welsh poppies are prolific self seeders and have a tap root like a dandelion so can be difficult to remove when in a wrong place. Be vigilant about deadheading.

It does have a very "weedy" look to the leaves but the flower makes up for it. Thanks for the tip on the tap root! And thanks all.
