Hello ,I bought a pineapple and choc mint plant and have some attractive metal pots about but they are only 9cm .Will they be ok in these ?I don't want them really big anyway as I want to keep on my windowsill.

But they don't want to live on your windowsill, they want to rampage all over your garden, preferably where it's cool and damp. It's what mint does.
People struggle to confine it in a bucket, there is no way it will be happy in a 9cm pot, indoors.
And if you actually want to use the mint, then you need it to keep growing well,so you can cut more off.

I've never been able to grow herbs indoors without they get covered in aphids.
