Wind damaged Crab apple

The westerly winds yesterday and today have blown my Malus 'Profusion Improved' over to an angle of approximately 30 degrees. Although the wrong time of year, I have removed two reasonably weighty branches to try alleviate further damage.
I have temporarily secured the trunk to an sturdy old conifer stump with clothes line.
The roots are heaving slightly, but have not broken the soil surface.
Has anyone had a similar problem which they have been able to rectify and save the tree?
My tree has been in the ground about 15 years, in good soil.
