Tree lovers - Your advice please

Hello everybody,

Please see attached pic, i intend to grow this tree at the front of my house , your thoughts please . It's called Dwarf Korean Lilac ( standard ) 

Any suggestion would be much appreciated

    It's lovely.
    I have one in my garden I bought from Hyde Hall about 25yrs ago.
    Not sure what sort of thoughts you were looking for tho..

    Thanks for your prompt reply :-). Wow ! great to know u have one in your garden and that its beautiful .My only concern does it shed a lot of leaves throughout the year and does it grow tall

    No it doesn't shed any leaves until the autumn when they all drop off.
    I made a BIG miskake with it about 10 years ago and pruned it heavily just after flowering.
    The whole thing died.
    I left the stump to remove 'at a later date' and a couple of years later a tiny shoot appeared from underground.
    About 5 years on and it's fully recovered. It's about 10ft tall with a lovely scent.
    The roses have blown into it today - another job for later....

    Just another thought - the one you're considering may be grafted onto a dwarfing rootstock to keep it small
