Foxglove or Verbascum?
Morning all,
Had quite a few of these pop up last autumn so have placed them around my garden.
Hopefully, you can settle an argument.
Are they Foxgloves or Verbascum?
Checked the leaves and they are slightly wrinkly which leans me to a Verbascum...

From the overall growing habit of producing an upright spike of flowers, I can see how you considered the possibility of it being verbascum, but if you look at verbascum images on the internet you’ll quickly see the flower structure is very different to foxglove. Like in the picture you posted, foxgloves are characterised by that all-in-one hollow, bell like structure that bees like to rummage inside. All the verbascum images I’ve seen show a much more open flower structure, often made up of several petals. Yours is undoubtedly foxglove.
