Akebia Quinata invasive

I have adopted a garden and it’s overrun with Akebia Quinta what’s the best way to get rid of it.

    Cut it down. Remove any rooted off spring. Train the new shoots over a framework of some sort like a pergola or fence.  If you don't like it just dig the lot out.
