Glenys Rumble

I recently found on my lawn and bluebell leaves an object that looked like a small pea pod 1" long Brown in colour slimy open with small balls inside. It looked like larvea or similar.I have never seen anything like this before Can anyone identify and give me advice. I put it down the toilet.

    It wasn't a bluebell seed pod was it? they tend to be green then brown and the seeds go from white to black.  Or do you gave any snowdrops around, the seed pods for that would have white seeds in.
  • I really don`t know as I always trim the flowers back as soon as they flower and leave the leaves to die in their own time. I only have the British bluebells which you know are smaller in size. I have never seen a bluebell seed head I shall have to look it up.
  • The pod was a different shape to a bluebell seedpod, elongated and slimy brownish black.

  • ? A bit early for Lupin, I don`t grow lupins at present. I get the feeling it might be a garden pest`s larvea.
