Dahlia wind damage
in Plants
One of the dahlias (moonfire) I potted the other week has taken a battering today, the only one as well that seems to have suffered.
The stems feel a bit loose now and are leaning a bit. Is it likely irreversible damage I'm going to have to end up cutting right back or are they tougher than that?
Obviously I'll wait to see how it fairs after the wind stops gusting so badly but it would be a shame as it's 16" tall just now.

Obviously a good sign but I'd have thought the entire stem would be no use.
